Archive Database Complete; Presentation to Township Set for May

NJ HANOVER — Hanover Landmark Commission completes archival database with township presentation scheduled. Archivist J. Schrader reported the comprehensive archive database is complete and will be presented to the Township Committee on May 14, with Committeeman Mihalko proposing Monroe Hall as an interim home for the archive.
The commission also reported approximately 10 to 15 gravestones at the Whippany Burying Yard show signs of vandalism. Treasurer B. Blumenfeld noted the 2026-2027 budget includes $16,000 for events, and the commission approved ordering 1,400 commemorative pins at approximately $2,000 for the township's 250th and 350th anniversary celebrations.
