Authority supports PFAS contamination settlement

NJ HANOVER — Hanover Sewerage Authority unanimously backs withdrawal of opposition to PFAS contamination settlement. The five-member board, led by Chairman Dennis Dittrick, approved withdrawal of its opposition to judicial consent orders between the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection, the State, and 3M Company and DuPont regarding PFAS contamination. The Authority also unanimously approved a generator replacement contract from Mott MacDonald and adjusted Executive Director Nicholas Taricani's salary to $180,000 effective May 1.
The board marked 36 consecutive years without NJDEP violations and acknowledged Peter Tyrrell's upcoming retirement.
