Board approves group home for Arc Morris in Cedar Knolls

NJ HANOVER — Hanover Board of Adjustment approves two major variance applications in one meeting. The Board voted 7-0 to approve Arc Morris's request for "C" variance relief to construct a six-bedroom group home at 99 and 100 Mountain Avenue in Cedar Knolls, with Chief Operating Officer Naira Aslanyam testifying about the organization's demand for housing serving people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Ship It Holdings LLC received separate 7-0 approval to expand its heating and cooling contractor operation at 11 South Jefferson Road in Whippany after owner Richard Davidson agreed to reduce the building setback to two feet from the property line.
Both applications granted variance relief with conditions mandating compliance with township engineering and planning requirements.
