Board rejects Supreme Court petition; expedites family ordinance change

NJ HANOVER — Hanover Board of Adjustment rejects Supreme Court appeal in family definition case. The board voted 6 to 1 on May 15 to abandon any potential petition to the New Jersey Supreme Court in the HEF Ventures appeal, instead directing efforts to expedite revisions to the township's definition of "Family" in its zoning ordinance. Member Fomchenko dissented from the no-petition vote but supported the ordinance change.
Special Council Marina Brown, Esq., who oversaw the litigation, reviewed the appellate division's decision with the board during a closed session.
