Environmental Commission Advances Data Center Ordinance

NJ HANOVER — Hanover Environmental Commission and Green Team unanimously advance data center regulation ordinance. The Environmental Commission and Green Team voted unanimously to move Ordinance 2026 to regulate data centers in the township, with Chairman C. Mattessich presenting the detailed proposal amid some member concerns about enforcement and public health.
The commission allocated $320 for Hanover Township Day programming and approved a Liberty Tree purchase at approximately $150 for the 250 USA and 350 Whippany anniversaries, with Member J. Hendricks and Liaison J. Ferramosca offering to fund the tree.
The Molly Malone's property development will include 17 new tree plantings.
