Hanover approves five-year shared services deal for tax assessment

NJ HANOVER — Hanover approves five-year shared services tax assessment agreement with Wayne. The Township Committee unanimously authorized a contract with the Township of Wayne under which Tax Assessor James Kreitz will assist Hanover's Finance Department beginning July 1 at $60,688 annually through June 30, 2031. The Committee accepted three resignations from municipal employees and a board member: Hector Cano and John Michael DeSimone of the Department of Public Works, and Board of Health member Marlene Peterson, a registered pharmacist.
In additional unanimous votes, the Committee authorized Hanover Township Police participation in the Morris County Sheriff's Emergency Response Team and approved transfer and renewal of the restaurant liquor license for Cafe Lucca LLC at 531 Route 10 in Whippany.
