Hanover Committee Adopts Nine Ordinances Including Affordable Housing Suite
Township Committee · Meeting of March 12, 2026
NJ HANOVER — Hanover Committee adopts nine ordinances, including comprehensive affordable housing regulatory changes. The committee unanimously passed five ordinances amending affordable housing rules to reduce AH-2 overlay requirements from 100 percent to 20 percent affordable units and establish a new AH-3 district permitting up to 120 townhouses with 24 affordable units. The committee also adopted a redevelopment plan for 41 Ridgedale Avenue despite resident Laura Koch raising concerns about potential environmental constraints; officials stated site plan conditions would address any wetland requirements.
The committee introduced a $33,813,754.01 budget for April 9 hearing and approved introduction of a $581,290 Algonquin Parkway resurfacing project funded by $196,290 in state grant aid and $385,000 in local funds.
