Planning Board extends deadline for 324-unit Airport Road project

Planning Board · Meeting of May 26, 2026

NJ HANOVER — Hanover Planning Board extends deadline for 324-unit residential development on Airport Road. The board voted 7-0 to carry the peremptory hearing date from May 26 to July 21, 2026, and extended its decision deadline to July 31, 2026, for applicant 25-35 Airport Road LLC's proposal to demolish two office buildings and construct 324 residential units within eight apartment buildings. The application had been pending since March 1, 2021.

Board Planner Joseph Burgis warned that the project's low-and-moderate housing designation could be lost if the municipality identifies an alternative site.
